How to Use Baycox® 5%

Baycox® 5% (Toltrazuril) oral suspension represents the first specific formulated ready to use product to control coccidial problems in piglets.

In piggeries affected by coccidiosis, a single oral treatemnt with 20 mg of Baycox® 5% per kg body weight given to all piglets aged 3 to 5 days has been found to deliver excellent results.

Treatment is administered during routine piglet handling (e.g., iron supplementation). This metaphylactic treatment prevents the appearance of clinical signs and hence, production losses.

Baycox® 5% (toltrazuril) not only controls Coccidia infection, but also kills all intracellular developmental stages of the parasite without impairing the piglet’s ability to acquire lifelong immunity against Coccidia, thus promoting resistance to reinfection.

Research shows that piglets infected with Isospora suis and treated with Baycox® 5% have  significantly higher growth rates than untreated piglets.

The benefits of using Baycox® 5% go beyond coccidiosis control; Baycox helps ensure that piglets achieve market weight as quickly as possible.
