Sporozoites

A sporozoite is the infective stage of a parasitic cell (e.g. Malaria, Coccidiosis). In coccidia 4 sporozoites are encapsulated in one sporulated oocyst. After ingestion by host animals the sporozoites are set free and invade intestinal mucosal cells. Here’s where the asexual and sexual stages of reproduction begin.
